TERMS & CONDITIONS Windyhaze Creations candles pride themselves on offering a purely handmade, hand poured, soy product. All fragrances used by Windyhaze Creations adhere to RIFM and IFRA standards for safety and purity. All fragrances used by Windyhaze Creations are manufactured in Australia. No fragrances Windyhaze Creations use are tested on animals. Windyhaze make all our candles from soy which is derived from soy beans. This is a natural, renewable source. We choose to use soy wax as it burns cleaner with little soot released as the candle burns. We offer cotton wicks or wood wicks. Not all our jars are available in wood wicks but we are more than happy to offer it if we can. Note: Soy Wax can be imperfect. We do our utmost to send out the perfect looking candle but even with the best of efforts things can come about with soy wax. Frosting – this is perfectly natural for soy wax, it does not affect the performance of your candle. Wet Spots – sometimes your jar may show signs as if the wax is pulling away from the glass or may even give you the opinion that it has not been poured fully. This is not the case, it is referred to as shrinkage, it’s very common with soy and does not affect the performance of the candle. Wax is lumpy after burning – It is purely a cosmetic issue and again has no impact on the performance of your candle. It is due to the wax cooling too quickly. Discolouration – this can be caused from the fragrance oil. Eg: vanilla, apple, strawberry. This is just a cosmetic issue and has no impact on the performance of your candle. CANDLE CARE The first burn is always the most important. Allow your candles melt pool to reach the edges of the jar to create a 'burn memory', this should take 2- 4 hours. Doing this will ensure that your candle burns evenly while making its way down the jar. If this is not done, you run the risk of your wax tunnelling. Do not let your candle burn for more than 4 hours on the first burn. Trim your wick to 6mm (1/4 inch) before each burn. For wood wicks, turn your jar upside down and gently twitch the wick and let the ash drop. For cotton wicks use a wick trimmer or nail clippers. All trimming must be done when the candle is cold. The maximum amount of time you should let you candle burn in one sitting is 3 hours, this is after your first initial burn. Candles burn best in still air. Avoid draughts, fans etc. This is not only a fire hazard but it also affects the candle and will cause an uneven burn. Store your candles away from windows and heat. Safety first as always when your candles are alight. Do not leave where children and pets can reach. Do not leave near window furnishings as a draft can cause the flame to flicker and catch fire. Never leave candles unattended. Stop burning your candle when there is less than 2cm of wax left. RETURNS/CANCELLED ORDERS Windyhaze Creations pride themselves on quality control. We thoroughly test every fragrance with every wick. If for some reason you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact us immediately on email – windyhazecreations@gmail.com. We do not accept any claims without photo’s and we do not accept any claims for refund or exchange after 14 days from purchase. All claims are at the discretion of Windyhaze Creations. All orders must be paid in full prior to shipping. Cancellations will not be accepted for change of mind or wrong items ordered. Any order over the value of $100 for made to order candles must pay a non refundable 50% deposit. We do our absolute best to pack your orders to prevent any damage but we do not have control over our couriers and Australia Post. All orders under $100 are covered for insurance by Windyhaze Creations. All orders over $100 we will request an extra payment to cover for insurance. If your order is received damaged please notify us immediately via email with photos. Returns are at the cost of the buyer, not the seller, unless Windyhaze Creations are at fault and you have a written authority number to return them. There is no returns/refunds for sale items, market stock or for an item that was ordered incorrectly or a change of mind.
